Quaver’s Studio is home to our most powerful composition tools - empowering students to create original music at!

In QStrum, students practice guitar notation for acoustic and bass guitar by arranging patterns of different chords on the timeline. Students create original songs by choosing unique combinations of chord, duration, and strum pattern, changing the tempo, and selecting a style of guitar sound.

When they click play - QStrum reinforces playing style with visual animation of correct finger positions on an authentic guitar neck.

While exercising their creative songwriting muscles, students are also enhancing their understanding of notation, dynamics, chords, and note placement. Once a composition is complete, students can save it to share with family and friends online or pull it up in another Quaver Creative to continue the songwriting process.

QStrum is accessible to Students & Teachers with Free accounts. Teachers using any of Quaver’s Programs can create and assign custom QStrum projects via the Teacher Gradebook.

Premium features - including some Guitar Styles and the ability to publish a song as an MP3 - require QuaverNotes.
